The project, spearheaded by the Department of Public Works, aims to revitalize the City-owned park Frederick Richardson Memorial Park, on 31st Street. This includes replacing outdated playground equipment and upgrading the safety surfacing.
The project is funded by a $105,726 grant from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources' Community Parks and Playgrounds Program and $150,000 from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).
The project was completed in December 2024. New playground equipment has been installed, along with other improvements to the park.
