I am running for City Council in Mount Rainier because I believe all government begins locally, at home. With a career in mission-driven nonprofits working on education, global health, human rights, humanitarian assistance and livelihoods, I’ve worked globally on complex issues. My expertise working on diverse teams and managing multi-million-dollar budgets has shaped my leadership skills. Having lived in Ecuador, Jordan, and Egypt, and speaking Spanish, French and Arabic, I bring a global perspective to our community. As a progressive gay man and fiber artist, I love being part of our welcoming and diverse community. I’ve seen firsthand how our small-town feel fosters connection with one another. I believe in increasing civic engagement and protecting our community. I’m committed to supporting those affected by federal policies, fostering local business, and promoting our vibrant arts community and our history. I’m ready to contribute to a better Mount Rainier for all.
