Dara Wallace comes from a lineage of dreamers and doers, including her great-uncle, activist and attorney Robert L. Millender Sr. Since moving to Mount Rainier in 2009, she has worked alongside local leaders, businesses, and residents to strengthen the city’s cultural and economic landscape.
A PoliSci major with a focus on Latin studies, Dara has a deep appreciation for the arts, shaped by her training as a violinist, dancer, and singer. Her leadership in economic development includes organizing high-impact events with the Department of Commerce and County leadership, advocating for minority-owned businesses, and supporting small business financing through FSC First Bank.
As Mayor, she will champion smart growth, regional collaboration, and policies that protect Mount Rainier’s unique character while fostering opportunity for all. Dara is committed to ensuring the city remains a place where residents, artists, and entrepreneurs can thrive.
