The City announces the winning design for the 34th Street Mural Arts Project. After two rounds of online and in-person community voting, followed by a final City review to ensure alignment with feasibility and design guidelines, the design by local artist Jay F. Coleman has been selected.
Coleman’s powerful artwork features Muhammad Ali, a global icon celebrated for his courage, resilience, and humanitarian spirit. Through bold color and compelling storytelling, Coleman’s work activates public spaces and will transform 34th Street into a visual landmark that celebrates public art, inclusivity, and community resilience.
The City thanks community members for their votes and support of the project.
