Construction for the 31st Street and Perry Street Improvement Project is moving into Phase 2, one of the City of Mount Rainier’s largest infrastructure projects to date.
The project includes:
- Stormwater improvements to reduce flooding and erosion
- Traffic reconfigurations to improve safety and efficiency
- Green infrastructure to support sustainability
As the City prepares for the next stage of construction, residents are invited to an on-site follow-up Community Conversation with the design consultant, Low Impact Development Center (LIDC). This public meeting will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the intersection of 31st and Perry Street.
This is a valuable opportunity for community members to hear project updates, ask questions, and provide input directly to the project team.
