Community Conversation: 31st and Perry Streets Intersection Project (Phase 2)

Mount Rainier News Posted on August 16, 2025

Construction for the 31st Street and Perry Street Improvement Project is moving into Phase 2, one of the City of Mount Rainier’s largest infrastructure projects to date.

The project includes:

  • Stormwater improvements to reduce flooding and erosion
  • Traffic reconfigurations to improve safety and efficiency
  • Green infrastructure to support sustainability

As the City prepares for the next stage of construction, residents are invited to an on-site follow-up Community Conversation with the design consultant, Low Impact Development Center (LIDC). This public meeting will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the intersection of 31st and Perry Street.

This is a valuable opportunity for community members to hear project updates, ask questions, and provide input directly to the project team.

Join us on-site to stay informed, engaged, and part of the process to improve our community.
