The City of Mount Rainier is now accepting bids for the Crosswalks, Curb Ramps, and Speed Humps Project—the first of ten key infrastructure initiatives outlined in the City’s Vision Zero Action Plan. These projects are designed to eliminate traffic-related fatalities and serious injuries, enhance accessibility, and improve road infrastructure throughout the city.
This project is funded by a $9.76 million grant awarded to Mount Rainier through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) program, with the City contributing a $2,441,000 matching share to support implementation.
Qualified contractors must submit proposals to the City Manager by Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 5:00 PM. Bids will be publicly opened on Monday, May 12, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Mount Rainier City Hall.
