Following today’s snowstorm, icy road conditions pose hazardous travel commute. To ensure the safety of employees during these challenging weather conditions, all City Administrative Offices will be closed on Tuesday, January 7.

The Mount Rainier Police Department and Public Works Department remain fully operational to respond to emergencies and snow removal.

RESIDENT REMINDERS:

• Snow Removal in Progress: Public Works crews will continue clearing roadways. Please do not park on the streets to allow plow trucks to operate effectively.
• Sidewalk Clearing: Residents and businesses are required to clear sidewalks of snow in front of their properties within 24 hours after the snowfall ends. This ensures safe passage for pedestrians and helps maintain accessibility throughout the city.
• Check on Elderly Neighbors: Please check on elderly or vulnerable neighbors to ensure their safety during these conditions.
• Stay Safe: Limit unnecessary travel and use caution if driving or walking outdoors.
