    • The property is occupied. (Submit documentation of occupancy, such as signed lease, utility bills for the period when the building became occupied, use and occupancy permit, etc.)
    • The property is under active construction or undergoing active rehabilitation, renovation or repair to make the building fit for occupancy. (Submit building permit and/or other proof of construction, renovation or repair work to the property.)
    • The property is a vacant utilitarian building that also has an occupied building with an above-grade area equal to or greater than that of the utilitarian building. (Submit proof of occupancy of main building.)
    • The property is deemed occupied or under renovation because there is a Contract of Sale of the property, and the new owner will occupy or commence renovation of the property within 60 days of settlement. (Submit signed contract. Termination of vacant developed property tax will be effective retroactive to the settlement date upon submission of copies of the recorded Page 2 of 3 Deed, Settlement Statement, and satisfactory proof that the new owner has occupied the property or commenced demolition, construction, renovation, or repair to make the property fit for occupancy.
