7/25 - Commercial Breaking and Entering – 3800 block 34th St

Local business was broken into, and items stolen. Investigation led to the identification of the suspect and a warrant written for their arrest.

 

7/25 – Hit and run – Queens Chapel Rd/ Chillum Rd

A vehicle struck another vehicle on Queens Chapel Rd and fled the area.

 

7/25 – DUI - 3300 block Bunker Hill Rd

Subject arrested for driving under the influence.

 

7/25 – DUI – Queens Chapel Rd

Subject arrested for driving under the influence.

 

7/26 – Overdose – 4200 block 28th Place

Officers assisted with an unresponsive female subject who overdosed on pain medications and other unknown substances. Female was taken by ambulance to hospital for emergency care.

 

7/27 -Theft from auto - 4200 block 28th St

Unknown persons vandalized a police cruiser by breaking out the back glass and removed a briefcase containing fingerprinting materials. Investigation is ongoing.

 

7/27 – Parking enforcement - 4700 block 31st Place

An abandoned vehicle parked on city streets was impounded after having a 48hour notice placed on the vehicle.

 

7/27 – Lost property – 4000 block 36th St

Citizen wanted to file a report for lost property.

 

7/28 - Pedestrian struck- 3300 block Chillum Rd

Pedestrian struck by vehicle on Chillum Rd. Vehicle did not leave the scene.

 

7/28 - Domestic- 4300 block 28th Pl

Officers arrived on scene for a domestic incident. Investigation reveled that the persons involved had a loud argument and neighbors always call. No physical altercation had occurred. Other options advised, officer assistance refused.

 

7/28 – Hit and run- Queens Chapel Rd/ Buchanan rd

Citizens vehicle was struck while parked. Striking vehicle was located but the driver of the vehicle not found nor identified at first call.

 

7/28 - Theft from auto- 4300 block Russell Ave

Citizen reported that his catalytic converter was stolen from his vehicle. Officers confirmed the converter was missing.

 

7/28 - Subject stop- 3100 block Buchanan St

Subject observed sitting on a wall near a residential building smoking marijuana. The subject was stopped and issued a civil citation for the marijuana.

 

7/28 – Carjacking - 4600 27th St

Citizen reported being carjacked while picking up her baby from babysitter. The suspect vehicle was identified as a silver Honda CRV and al information given to responding detectives. Investigation is ongoing.

 

7/29 – Found – 2300 block Varnum St

Officers located a bag with miscellaneous items on the side of a business. The owner was not located. The property was then placed into MRPD property for safekeeping.

 

7/29 - Stolen vehicle - 4300 block Kaywood Dr

Citizen called and reported that their vehicle had been stolen while they were inside of a relatives apartment. There was no suspect information given at this time. Investigation pending.

 

7/30 - Impound – Arundel Rd/ 29th St

Officers observed a vehicle driving with an inoperable headlight. Further investigation revealed the driver did not possess a valid license in any state. The vehicle was impounded, and citations issued.

 

7/30 - Subject stop – 1 Municipal Place

Multiple subjects were observed by officers drinking alcoholic beverages in public. Those subjects were stopped, advised, and sent on their way.

 

7/30 – Theft report- 3100 block Queens Chapel Rd

Unknown subject entered the store and stole multiple items. The unknown subject then fled on a red bicycle and out of sight of store manager.

 

7/31 – Theft report – 2300 block of Varnum St

Store manager at this location advised officers that a male subject wearing all black entered the store, stole multiple items and fled the store into DC.
