Virtual Business Tour Program

The Mount Rainier Virtual Business Tour Program, offered by the Department of Economic Development, is a strategic initiative designed to enhance the online presence of local businesses. This program extends an opportunity to businesses to create virtual tours, thereby facilitating online connections with potential customers and maintaining engagement with existing clientele.

These virtual tours serve as digital showcases, allowing businesses to effectively communicate their products or services while providing an immersive experience designed to capture and hold the interest of their audience.

Pilot Virtual Business Tour Programs

Website Development Program (Closed)

The Website Development Program assists local small businesses create and improve their existing websites. Through the program, a business can leverage on their newly created or newly-design website to enhance their digital presence and thrive in the online marketplace.

The program offers the following:

  • Professional Website Help: Get guidance from experts to create a professional and engaging website tailored to your needs.
  • Upgrade Assistance: If you already have a website, we can help you upgrade and optimize it for better performance.
  • Training and Support: We offer workshops and training to help you manage and update your website on your own

Entrepreneurship Scholarship Program (Closed)

The Entrepreneurship Scholarship Program's second cohort will begin in June 2022. The Department of Economic Development will offer Micro-Enterprise, Small Business Development, and Entrepreneurship Scholarships to Mount Rainier residents.

The first cohort started in January 2022.

Courses include:

  • Entrepreneurship 101
  • Writing a Business Plan
  • Small Business Marketing
  • Financial Planning
  • Access to Capital
  • Project Management

Participants will also receive:

  • 1 on 1 Counseling
  • Business Development Support
  • Custom Website (upon program completion)
