City's Memorial Park Streetscape Project Construction Now Begins on July 24

The City announces the beginning of Memorial Streetscape Project construction at the downtown core of Mount Rainier. The project which consists of essential park, road, sidewalk, and stormwater management at the 3300-3400 Triangular block of Rhode Island Avenue between 31^st Street and Perry Street aims to enhance the aesthetic appeal and functionality around the area, while also promoting economic growth and sustainability.

The construction will begin on July 24 and is expected to be completed by February 2024.

The project was awarded to Usource Construction. During the construction period, the contractors will work diligently to minimize disruptions and allow our local businesses along Rhode Island Avenue to remain open.

Dear Homeowners/Business Owners,

The City of Mount Rainier is informing you of the Memorial Park Streetscape Project which consists of essential park, road, sidewalk, and stormwater management improvements at the 3300-3400 Triangular block of Rhode Island Avenue between 31^st Street and Perry Street starting 07/24/2023 to 02/02/2024, weather permitting.

We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this work may cause.

The contractor performing this work is Usource Construction. Access to the impacted area during Phase I and II including Perry Street between 33^rd Street and Circle on Rhode Island Avenue will be limited.

Parking restrictions and interruption to traffic flow will occur at times.
