On August 29, students in Prince George’s County will be heading to school for the start of the new semester. As students and teachers prepare for the new school year, the City of Mount Rainier will be collecting school supplies until August 12 to benefit local schools in the city and students in need.
Community members can bring classroom supplies donations to City Hall, located at 1 Municipal Pl. Mount Rainier, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. located at 1 Municipal Pl. Mount Rainier, MD.
Supplies that are needed include:
- Backpacks, plastic school boxes, glue sticks, #2 pencils, crayons, scissors, rulers, highlighters, composition books, (blue and black ballpoint pens, colored pencils, erasers, USB flash/thumb drives
The City will also accept uniform donations.
