We’d like to thank John Hoatson for his service to the City of Mount Rainier and wish him well as he transitions to his next role in city government.
John joined the City of Mount Rainier in February of 2019 and, as City Clerk, played a critical role supporting the work of Mayor and Council as well as a wide range of City Committees.
In addition to diligently creating agendas, helping run city elections, certifying resolutions, John provided invaluable support to new staff learning the workings of municipal governance. He also brought standout event planning skills to City Hall.
We thank John for his service to the City and look forward to our continued collaboration with him as he takes on his new role in Prince George's County.
John, we appreciate everything you’ve done for the City of Mount Rainier and we wish you well in all future endeavors!
