As part of the Vision Zero Action Plan study process, Toole Design is developing a set of preliminary design concepts for improvements at selected locations within the priority projects identified by the Vision Zero Action Plan. Toole Design will provide an overview of the draft design concepts and will solicit feedback during the Mayor and Council Work Session on Sept. 19 at 7 p.m. The locations for design concepts are listed below and were informed by community feedback and public engagement throughout the study process. In addition to general feedback on all concepts, we will be discussing cross-section options for Arundel Road with the goal of selecting a preferred cross-section. This decision will impact intersection design options for the Arundel/31st Street and Varnum/Russel intersections so these two concepts will be provided after the work session.
Toole Design will also provide an overview of a draft toolkit to inform general improvements moving forward at locations not listed below that can be deployed by the City at other locations as needed.
