SEVERE WEATHER NOTICE 

This Afternoon
 Scattered showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 5pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 89. Southeast wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
 
 Tonight
 Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 2am. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 75. East wind 6 to 8 mph becoming southwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible

* AT 4:47 PM EDT, A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED OVER CHEVERLY, OR
 OVER BLADENSBURG, MOVING NORTHEAST AT 15 MPH.
 HAZARD...60 MPH WIND GUSTS.
 SOURCE...RADAR INDICATED.
 IMPACT...DAMAGING WINDS WILL CAUSE SOME TREES AND LARGE BRANCHES 
 TO FALL. THIS COULD INJURE THOSE OUTDOORS, AS WELL AS 
 DAMAGE HOMES AND VEHICLES. ROADWAYS MAY BECOME BLOCKED BY 
 DOWNED TREES. LOCALIZED POWER OUTAGES ARE POSSIBLE. 
 UNSECURED LIGHT OBJECTS MAY BECOME PROJECTILES.
