Fireworks are Illegal in PG County

Every year in the United States, around the Fourth of July, thousands of people are injured and killed due to accidents involving fireworks. Sadly, many the injuries and deaths involve children. The Prince George's County Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Departn1ent is concerned about the potential for injury and property damage from fireworks to the residents of Prince George's County. The Oepartn1ent responds to many calls related to fireworks use each year.

Prince Georges County has a law that is meant to protect lives and properties. 

Plain. And simple. ALL consumer fireworks from the smallest to the largest are illegal.

It is illegal for any person to manufacture, possess, store, offer for sale, sell, discharge, use, burn, or explode any fireworks in Prince George's County, Maryland, except that a licensed pyrotechnic professional conducts an authorized display.
