The City of Mount Rainier invites community members to a Community Meeting on Monday, September 19 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. to discuss priorities for making the City's streets safer and more walkable and bikeable for residents and visitors. The meeting will provide an opportunity for community members to share their priorities and learn more about the Mount Rainier Comprehensive Street and Sidewalk Study, which is just getting underway.
The study will result in an existing conditions memorandum, a prioritized list of street and sidewalk projects, a design toolbox, and concept plans for the highest priority locations. The project started over the summer and will finish in early 2023. The City of Mt. Rainier has hired a consulting firm, Toole Design Group, to lead the study.
