The City of Mount Rainier's Department of Economic Development will unveil the newest and largest mural in the city located on the Penske Building, 3210 Rhode Island Avenue, Mount Rainier MD 20712 on November 5, 2021, at 3:30 PM.

Through the vision and partnership of the City of Mount Rainier, the DMV League of Artists, and Larry Solomon, owner of the Penske Building, the newest mural will be a distinct addition to the murals on Rhode Island Avenue.

The mural unveiling will be led by Mayor Celina Benitez and the city’s Director of Economic Development, Ronald Hopkins.

Following the unveiling of the mural is the Era Wine Bar Red Carpet Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Era Wine Bar, located at 3300 Rhode Island Avenue, Mount Rainier, MD, is the first wine bar in the Route 1 corridor.

Capping off the event is a private fashion show by Prince George’s Arts and Humanities Council, “DPark 3311 Designers in Residence” to be held at Era Wine Bar.

The city's economic revitalization efforts include façade improvements of businesses located in the downtown area, attracting and retaining new and existing establishments, and providing financial resources through its Million Dollar Incentive Fund.
