Have you ever thought about the benefits of growing food in the fall?

The Mount Rainier Community Garden will be collaborating with Cottage City Community Garden to host a workshop, on site at the garden, on Saturday, July 17 at 9:30am.   

The theme will be preparing for a fall vegetable garden.

Judy Walsh-Mellet, a Mount Rainier resident and life long gardener/master gardener extraordinaire, will be sharing some tips about how and when to get started on those steps that will make for a successful fall garden.  
 
 We also hope to have time to get questions answered about summer issues that you might be facing.
 
Anyone from Mount Rainier and Cottage City is welcomed to this event - not just community gardeners. 

The Mount Rainier Community Garden is located on 31st Street, just before Arundel Road and across the street from Windom Road. It is adjacent to the playground, Mount Rainier North Neighborhood Park. Street parking is limited so please walk, ride bikes or carpool.
