City Street Tree Maintenance Starting on June 21

The City of Mount Rainier Department of Public Works will perform street tree maintenance starting on Monday, June  21, 2021, and will take up to a week to complete.

The tree maintenance will help provide adequate clearance over streets, sidewalks, driveways and homes, as well as, maintain the health and vigor of city trees. This tree maintenance will follow city tree ordinance standards and be completed by   Bartlett Tree Experts. 

Trees scheduled to be removed have a posted notice for 10 business days for filing objections prior to the work starting.

Please try to keep streets that the contractors will be working on clear of any parked vehicles during that week. Also, please do not leave parked vehicles in driveways that are  under the city’s tree while the maintenance is being completed.

Maintenance will be performed at the following locations:

Pruning:

  • 4601 27th Street
  • Locust at the corner of 33rd Street and Shepherd Street
  • 4301 30th Street

Stump Removals:

  • 4218 30th Street
  • 4600 30th Street
  • 3808 32nd Street
  • 3200 Bunker Hill Road corner on 32nd Street
  • 3203 Bunker Hill Road
  • 3107 Bunker Hill Road
  • 3403 Newton Street
  • 3414 Newton  Street

Tree Removals (including stump):

  • 32nd Street at the corner of 3200 Bunker Hill Road
  • 4528 32nd Street
  • 4529 32nd Street
  • Bunker Hill Road at the corner of 4000 32nd Street
  • Bunker Hill Road at the corner of  34th Street
  • 4016 35th Street
  • 3724 36th Street
  • 4021 36th Street
  • 37th Street at the corner of 3609 Perry  Street
