Hello Mount Rainier: 

Reminder: Monday, May 3, 2021 is Election Day! This year the polling place has been moved from City Hall to the Mount Rainier Nature Center: 4701 31st Place, Mt Rainier, MD 20712. Polls will open at 7:00 AM and will close at 8:00 PM.  

Due to COVID, the MRBOE is encouraging residents to Vote Absentee Ballot. Absentee Ballots requests are due by April 26, 2021 by 5:00 PM.

You can pick up an Absentee Ballot Request Form, Tomorrow, Saturday, April 10, 2021 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at GLUT: 4005 34th St, Mt Rainier, MD 20712

Your Council Consists of 5 people...

Mayor

Mayor Miles is not running for re-election.  She is retiring. 

Ward I:

Celina Benitez is running for Mayor.  If she wins, that will open her Council seat. 

Luke Chesek is the incumbent and running for re-election, Councilmember Ward I

Ward II:

Scott Cecil is a current Councilmember Ward II and in his seat for 2 more years.

Bryan Knedler is a current Councilmember Ward II and is retiring in May, 2021

Jarrett Stoltzfus is running for election as Councilmember Ward II to replace Bryan Knedler.
