Mayor Benitez Announces New Scholarship Grant

It is our honor to have the opportunity to award a Prince Georges County Mayoral Community Thought Leaders Scholarship to 2022 graduating seniors in our community. A very strong reward as community leaders is to support our community’s goals is to assist youth to continue education in the academic, vocational, or trade fields of choice.  The continuing education scholarship was awarded to our community on behalf of an organization firm, Communications Across Municipalities & Communities (CAM-C).  Collectively, our community of leaders, organizations, and businesses must support our youth to seek higher aspirations to live a quality life to become a citizen with many good qualities.  We hope you will be awarded the scholarship for the 2022 Mayoral Community Thought Leaders for our community.

 Scholarship Application Information

It is an easy process to win a $1,000 scholarship.

  1. Read the scholarship application criteria for full details.
  2. Complete and return the application package (application and one-page document by email before but no later than the deadline of June 30, 2022 midnight.
  3. Write a one-page paper (Community Thought Leader). The One Page Document Topic If I was a community leader what impact of change I would bring to the community and why?

 (check your grammar, spelling and punctuation / have someone review your paper);

  1. Email the application and paper (both items) by the deadline June 30, 2022, midnight. (No extensions)

The winner will be announced by July 10, 2022. The winner will attend a special ceremony event with Mayor Benitez to receive a scholarship award, Mayors, and county leader certificate in July 2022.
