On July 19, the City of Mount Rainier Department of Public Works will begin sidewalk improvements at 30th Street between Taylor Street and Arundel Road and Upshur Street between 30th Street & 31st Street, weather permitting.
Based on Toole Design Group Capital Project recommendations, the improvements will include:
- Concrete sidewalk repairs and installation
- Flexi-Pave installation around trees,
- Curb and gutter repairs
- Driveway apron repairs
- Curb ramps
Access to the impacted sidewalks and driveways will be restricted during construction and 24 hours after completion. Parking restriction and interruption to traffic flow will occur at times. The contractor performing this work is Grace Management & Construction.
