Roadway Safety Improvements Underway on Eastern Avenue (30th Street to Russell Avenue NE)

The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) has begun roadway safety improvements along Eastern Avenue between 30th Street and Russell Avenue NE, just outside the City of Mount Rainier boundary within Washington, DC.
This project includes traffic safety enhancements such as new turn lanes, pedestrian refuge improvements, signage updates, and pavement markings designed to improve safety for drivers and pedestrians.
Work is currently underway and is expected to take approximately one month to complete, weather permitting.
