The City of Mount Rainier's Back-to-School Fair was a tremendous success. With the support of our community, the City has distributed thousands of backpacks, school supplies, coats, shoes, and other essentials to ensure students are ready for a strong start to the school year. We extend our gratitude to our Social Services Coordinator for leading the event, Prince George’s Parks & Recreation Department, and all the generous donors and partners who made this effort possible.

Help Water Young Trees! The City of Mount Rainier Tree Commission reminds all residents to water young trees in their neighborhood. Newly planted trees need extra care to grow strong and healthy, especially during hot or dry days. By watering young trees, you’re helping ensure Mount Rainier’s urban forest continues to provide shade, cleaner air, and beauty for years to come.
