Mount Rainier Marks 115th Anniversary with a Full Day of Festivities!

Mount Rainier Day

Join the City of Mount Rainier for Mount Rainier Day 2025 on Saturday, May 24, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Mount Rainier Nature Center (4701 31st Place). Celebrate with live music, family activities, local food, and community fun. 

Festival Highlights

  • Enjoy live performances on stage, shop from over 60 local vendors, and taste a variety of food and treats from favorite food trucks and food vendors. 
  • Families can enjoy balloon twisting, face painting, moon bounce, arts and crafts, skate mobile, and character appearances from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. 

Parade at 11:00 a.m.
Festivities begin with a lively parade departing from the Malinda Miles Building (3503 Perry Street), featuring cultural performers and marching bands featuring Batala Washington, Naptown Brass Band and more!

Note: Road closures and parking restrictions will be in effect along the parade route from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Shuttle Service
Courtesy of the Cottage City, free shuttle service will be provided with stops throughout the city, including City Hall, Thomas Stone Elementary, Glut Food Co-op, Kaywood Gardens, and more. 

Additional Parking: Available at Thomas Stone Elementary and the lot across from Kaywood Theater.
