CITY OF MOUNT RAINIER TO CELEBRATE COMPLETION OF MEMORIAL PARK STREETSCAPE PROJECT WITH RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY

Memorial Park Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

The City of Mount Rainier will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 28 at 3 p.m. marking the completion of the Memorial Streetscape Project! This significant infrastructure project revitalizes the 3300-3400 block of Rhode Island Avenue and Perry Street, enhancing the area with new pavers and upgraded walkways, landscaping, seating, and enhanced gathering spaces. The project also features bioretention areas to effectively manage stormwater runoff and promote environmental sustainability. This investment in our community represents a major step toward fostering a thriving and welcoming downtown and boosting business activity.

The Mount Rainier Board of Elections will assist with voter registration and answer any election-related questions.

Deadline for Candidate Packet Submission, Monday, March 24 by 4 pm

All eligible residents interested in running for office must ensure their completed packets are submitted by the deadline. 

Candidate Certification & Ballot Order Determination, Monday, March 24 at 8 pm.

The Mount Rainier Board of Elections will officially certify candidates and determine the ballot order for the election on March 24 at 8 p.m. 

NEW MEMBERS SWORN INTO MOUNT RAINIER BOARD OF ELECTIONS

The City of Mount Rainier welcomes Nathan Gately and Monica Savoy as the newest members of the Mount Rainier Board of Elections. Mayor Celina Benitez officially swore them in, with the Board of Elections Supervisor Nichole Logan also present for the ceremony. 

Mr. Gately and Ms. Savoy will work alongside the dedicated board to uphold fair and transparent elections, ensuring integrity in the democratic process. Their service strengthens the City's commitment to a smooth and trustworthy electoral system.
