The 2025 City Election is set for May 5, 2025, offering all eligible Mount Rainier residents the opportunity to shape the future of our city.
Who Can Register:
Any resident of the City of Mount Rainier who is not eligible to vote in State and County elections but meets the voter qualifications set forth in Section 502 of the City Charter and applicable Charter Amendments may register with the Mount Rainier Board of Elections to vote in City elections. This includes:
- U.S. citizens
- Legal permanent residents ("Green Card Holders") including holders of temporary visas (including, but not limited to: work visas, student visas, refugees, those with Temporary Protected Status), and those who do not have formal U.S. immigration status.
- Residents aged 16 and older
The Mount Rainier Board of Elections will hold a Voter Registration Drive at Mixt Food Hall from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. to assist residents with the registration process and to answer any questions about the electoral process.
