Join us in a Community Conversation on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 10 am to 12 noon at the intersection of Newton Street and Newton Place, to discuss and learn more about the Newton Street Project spanning 34th to 37th Street. 

Designed by the Low Income Development Center (LIDC) and funded through the American Relief Program Act(ARPA), the Project will incorporate key elements such as the construction of sidewalk improvements, street, and storm drain improvements, stormwater best management practices, landscaping, and speed tables. These features are intended to enhance our neighborhood's safety and sustainability.

The City of Mount Rainier seeks proposals from qualified contractors for Phase 2 of the Department of Economic Development’s 34th Street Façade Improvement Project. This project focuses on exterior renovations for storefronts along 3800 – 3856 34th Street to enhance these buildings' aesthetic appeal and structural integrity, creating a more vibrant downtown area and increasing economic activity. 

Proposals are due by Friday, October 11, 2024.
