Gun Locks Available - Project ChildSafe
The Department is participating in nationwide program titled "Project ChildSafe." This project is a component of Project Safe Neighborhoods under the Department of Justice. Project ChildSafe provides free locks to secure guns to anyone. Any resident desiring a free gun lock can come by the police station and pick up one or stop an officer on patrol and ask for a gun lock. Hurry while supplies last.

Stop Auto Theft
Do not forget to lock your car. Not only are your personal items in the car at risk of being stolen, so is your car. Please follow these steps.

- LOCK YOUR CAR AND TAKE THE KEYS, and
- Do not leave valuables in the car, or
- Packages in plain sight, and
- Park your car in a well lighted area, and
- Use an anti-theft device, and
- Use your trunk to conceal gifts.

Anti-theft Device Available
A steering wheel anti-theft device is currently available for $10 each at the police station. The device is manufactured by Winner International the manufacturer of “The Club.”
