The Gateway Arts District is an arts-based economic development initiative of the Gateway Community Development Corporation that targets the revitalization of a two-mile area of U.S. Route One/Rhode Island Avenue in Prince George's County, Maryland, just north of the Washington, D.C. border.

In addition to existing arts and cultural resources, numerous projects are planned or in development in the Gateway Arts District including live/work housing for artists and new homes for area arts organizations!

The Gateway Arts District spans four communities: Mount Rainier, Brentwood, North Brentwood, and Hyattsville
